Editing blog

Editing blog

The procedure for the camera are as follows in the following sentences. When we get done with our story-boarding we will need to have a sign-out form for the cameras. Taking a few for the next projects is recommended and signing all of them so we can easily sign out a camera is also highly recommended. Once we fill out the form we will look at the camera we were assigned and label the check out form box as the number that is on the cameras case. This will make sure we have taken the correct camera and so they know what camera we used. We are obligated to bring back the camera the next day.  For the filming we will need our ids and sign out on the sign out sheet. This is for the whole groups so we need to label all of our names on the paper. The next thing is the filming id we will be given, this is so the people (security) know we are filming and are walking around school for a class. The filming pass needs to be given to the teacher right after class.
The ways that we can use our camera are as follows... We take the tripod (that we are assigned) and attach the camera on top. This is done by taking the plate off that has the button and the screw, and attaching them to the camera directly. This can be done by screwing in the camera on the plate and tightening the circle on the bottom. This is so the camera is tightly attached and won’t move during the filming process. The camera is then attached on the tripod and able to be moved around. Once the lever on the right is released the camera can do Dutch, tilt, and pan shots. These can be incorporated into our film without the process of tilting and moving the camera ourselves. We were instructed to turn on the camera by opening the cameras view finder  and the turning off the camera by closing the cameras view finder. The camera has to be turned off in order to charge properly so the viewfinder needs to be closed.
The editing process is started in the process of filming, we will be able to film on one day so filming needs to be taken in multiple shots. This will ensure that our takes will be the best and will be incorporated properly into the film. The editing process is able to cut and change the film so letting the camera roll will ensure that the scene will look better. The first thing that we need to do is get a SD card this is so our filming can be keep safely. Even though the school provides them it is recommended that we purchase on to make the editing process easier and less time consuming. Once we have the SD card we can dump our film into the folder on our fest top. This can be done by attaching the SD card reader on the computer. The SD card information should be there along with all of the raw footage. If the information cannot be found in the (DCIM) folder look in the (AVCHD)folder and sort out the files by date and time. The information/ raw footage should be there.  Once we do this we can open up the program (Pinnacle studios) we have to keep it on the same login to ensure or information is still there. The editing process can start and we can open up the EDITING part and IMPORT the films. Once the raw footage is there we click the unchecked boxes and click the ones we want in our film. The ones we want will then be loaded into the track(2) line and we can start editing the film . We have to wait till the yellow bar turns green then it will be able to be edited. The track(3) is used for audio and the track(1) is for the titles.
